Since 1988, the foundation's founder, president and CEO, Father Isaac Ihiasota, has traveled on medical mission trips to Nigeria, nineteen (19) times! The first trip was made possible by a free gift donation from one of his parishioners and motivated by the words of Jesus to: "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give." (Matthew 10:8, NIV).
Father Isaac has continued to travel yearly, with the prayers, support and donations of organizations, churches, and individuals (his friends and parishioners, former and current), who share his commitment, passion and vision of giving hope, saving lives and healing the sick, and providing free healthcare, to the poor, the needy, and less privileged.
In 1988, on this first medical mission trip, Father Isaac carried with him several excess luggage suitcases of medical supplies and medicines from World Medical Relief, Inc., Detroit, (now with headquarters in Southfield) Michigan.

In the summer of 2017, by accident (by providence, really), Father Isaac met Dr. Julius I. Nwosu, president and CEO, Community Healthcare Network-NG in New York! He persuaded and convinced Father Isaac to partnership with him on a free medical mission trip to Nigeria.
In July 2018, they traveled together with a New York based organization: Franklin, Jr. Foundation. Working in collaboration with local healthcare professionals: doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers, they treated about one thousand five hundred (1,500) patients in two (2) days!
In April 2019, Father Isaac founded and formed Father Isaac's Foundation, Inc., as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, non-governmental, public charity organization. The mission of the foundation is to provide healthcare free of charge to the poor and less privileged, who have no other access to primary healthcare services. The foundation heals the sick, saves and transforms lives, gives hope and improves healthcare services in the place where it serves.

In January 2020, Father Isaac and Dr. Nwosu, traveled on a second medical mission trip; a third in January 2021; a fourth in January 2022; a fifth in January 2023; a sixth in January 2024; a seventh in January 2025; and planning for an eighth in 2026!
They're both very passionate about providing quality-healthcare, free of charge, to the poor, the needy and less privileged, who have no access to primary healthcare services. They're committed to providing free healthcare, healing the sick, giving hope, saving and transforming lives of the people they serve.
